New restrictions for Foreign Nationals Entering Norway
Due to increased concern over the more contagious variant of the COVID-19
virus, new entry restrictions were put into effect from the 29th of January. Foreign nationals who are already residents in Norway will be allowed entry. Visitors as well as persons relocating will now have to wait until these restrictions are lifted before they travel to Norway. The government is expected to re-evaluate the situation mid-February.
Our Expat Mobility team is in dialogue with UDI on a regular basis to moniter the changing rules and regulations. We will continue to send in applications for expats relocating to Norway as well as assist others who have already arrived. UDI has confirmed that applications will be put on hold but will not be denied, which is good news moving forward.
