New heads of media relations for Statoil and Aker Solutions

Norwegian energy producer Statoil has appointed Jannik Lindbæk (44) new vice president, responsible for media relations. Lindbæk comes to Statoil from Aker Solutions.


Lindbæk is to take over the position as vice president media relations, head of corporate press office and corporate spokesperson from Ola Morten Aanestad, who is appointed vice president media relations for Statoil in North America and will transfer to Houston during summer.
Lindbæk will join Statoil in April and take up his new responsibilities at further notice. Lindbæk comes to Statoil from his present position as senior vice president Corporate Communication in Aker Solutions.

To replace Lindbæk, Aker Solutions has appointed Geir Arne Drangeid to the post of executive vice president (EVP) in corporate communications.
Drangeid has worked with communications in Aker for 20 years. From 1996- 2004 he ledthe communications functions in companies that today are part of Aker Solutions. Since 2004 he has held a similar role in the industrial investment company Aker ASA which, through its ownership in Aker Holding, is the main shareholder in Aker Solutions.
Drangeid takes up his new role with immediate effect.
